SEN Teaching Assistant Job

We are looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work with children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in a Special Educational Needs school in Monmouthshire, UK.

Job Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to children in both individual and group settings, creating and delivering engaging learning activities that cater to their specific needs. You will also collaborate with teachers and other professionals to develop individual education plans (IEPs) for each child.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support children with SEMH needs in individual and group settings
  • Create and deliver inclusive learning activities tailored to each child's requirements
  • Collaborate with teachers and professionals to develop IEPs for each child
  • Encourage positive behavior and provide guidance to help children manage their emotions
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff members
  • Monitor and report on children's progress, adjusting teaching methods as necessary
