Job Title: Teaching Assistant for SEMH Needs

Future Education is looking for a skilled and motivated Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will work with students who require additional support to overcome SEMH barriers to education.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SEMH needs and be able to provide targeted support to students. You will be responsible for developing relationships with students, supporting them in building social, emotional, and life skills, and working collaboratively with staff, parents, and external professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop relationships with students to support their emotional and academic growth.
  • Provide targeted support to help students overcome SEMH barriers to education.
  • Support students in building social, emotional, and life skills.
  • Work closely with staff, parents, and external professionals to deliver holistic support.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs (preferred but not essential).
  • Patient, empathetic, and resilient, with a genuine passion for working with vulnerable young people.
  • Flexible, proactive, and able to adapt to changing situations.
