Credit Controller

JHE & Partners Ltd is a well-established business with over 40 years of industry experience. We are seeking a skilled Credit Controller to join our finance team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing debts and ensuring timely payments from customers. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting credit checks on new customers
- Chasing overdue invoices by telephone, email, and letter
- Maintaining accurate records of all chasing activity
- Negotiating payment plans with customers
- Handling customer queries regarding outstanding invoices
- Reconciling accounts and resolving billing discrepancies
- Analysing financial data to identify credit risks
- Collaborating with the accounts payable team to resolve payment issues
The successful candidate should possess the following skills:
- Experience in credit control or a similar financial role
- Proficiency in accounting software and data entry
- Strong phone etiquette and communication skills
- Knowledge of financial services and telemarketing techniques
This is a permanent position offering a salary of £28,000-£30,000 and is fully office-based working for a small close-knit team.
