Credit Controller

We are seeking a skilled Credit Controller to join their finance team, responsible for managing debts and ensuring timely payments from customers.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough credit checks on new customers to assess their creditworthiness
- Chase overdue invoices through various channels, including telephone, email, and letter
- Maintain accurate records of all chasing activity to ensure transparency and compliance
- Negotiate payment plans with customers to resolve outstanding debts
- Handle customer queries regarding outstanding invoices in a professional and courteous manner
- Reconcile accounts and resolve billing discrepancies to ensure financial accuracy
- Analyse financial data to identify credit risks and provide recommendations for mitigation
- Collaborate with the accounts payable team to resolve payment issues and improve cash flow
- Experience in credit control or a similar financial role, with a proven track record of success
- Proficiency in accounting software and data entry, with the ability to learn new systems quickly
- Strong phone etiquette and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers
- Knowledge of financial services and telemarketing techniques, with a focus on customer relationships
