Job Title: Lecturer in Home Cookery

Weston College is seeking an exceptional and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Lecturer in Home Cookery at HMP Portland.

About the Role

This is a full-time position, working 37 hours per week, where you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organise and manage administrative tasks related to the role.
  • Prepare, assess, and mark student work.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive course files, including schemes of learning and lesson plans.
  • Complete Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) and contextual statements to monitor student progress.
Requirements
  • A recognised teaching qualification or willingness to gain one within the first two years of service.
  • Knowledge and experience of current teaching and learning strategies.
  • Excellent team working, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent computer literacy skills, including up-to-date knowledge of Microsoft Office.
