Job Summary

As a Prisoner Escort Officer at Serco, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and secure transportation of detainees to and from courts, while providing exceptional care and support to their physical and mental wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and transport detainees from prisons or police stations to courts, ensuring their safety and security at all times.
  • Accompany defendants in court rooms and cells, providing support and assistance as needed.
  • Search property or people, and complete paperwork and data entry for the day.
  • Ensure food and drink are available for detainees, and maintain a clean and safe environment.
Requirements
  • A current driver's license, C1 License (valid CPC card desirable) / D License (with valid CPC card & Tacho Graph desirable).
  • Reasonable fitness level and good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including early and late shifts, and bank holidays.
