About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Team Leader to join our team in Nelson. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of caregivers in supporting people with disabilities to live independently and safely in our residential houses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and motivate a team of caregivers to provide high-quality support to individuals with disabilities
  • Develop and implement personal support plans that promote independence and well-being
  • Coordinate and manage household duties, including meal preparation and daily care routines
  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure effective communication and positive teamwork
  • Provide a warm and nurturing environment that promotes the well-being and dignity of individuals with disabilities

Requirements
  • Relevant caregiving experience, including personal cares
  • Ideal leadership experience or a genuine desire to develop leadership expertise
  • Ability to tailor leadership approach to meet individual learning styles
  • Warm, calm, and friendly personality with a passion for supporting people to achieve positive outcomes
  • Full NZ Driver License and ability to transport passengers confidently and safely
