Spatial Planning Coordinators play a vital role in shaping the future of communities by developing and implementing plans that balance economic growth, environmental sustainability, and social equity.

About the Role

Penguin Recruitment is seeking a Spatial Planning Coordinator to join our team. As a Spatial Planning Coordinator, you will work closely with our planning consultants to support the development of new projects in Chester and Wilmslow.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Assisting senior planners in the progress of large-scale projects
  2. Handling smaller planning applications independently
  3. Conducting research and analysis to inform project decisions
  4. Preparing comprehensive planning appraisals of land and building proposals
  5. Writing planning reports and drafting applications
  6. Engaging with planning officers, consultants, and third parties to ensure smooth project progress
About You

To be successful as a Spatial Planning Coordinator, you will need:

  • A RTPI-accredited degree or master's in Planning or a related field
  • Chartered membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) or working towards it is preferred
What We Offer

This role offers a highly competitive salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, opportunities for career growth, annual bonuses, pension contributions, private healthcare, and payment of professional fees. You will also have the flexibility to work both remotely and from our Chester office.
