About the Job

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to help us manage our financial operations effectively. The role involves maintaining accurate records, performing reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with our financial procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Process daily banking transactions and maintain accurate records.
  2. Post purchase ledger invoices in a timely manner.
  3. Clear unallocated payments on the purchase ledger.
  4. Process petty cash transactions and verify supplier statements.
  5. Contribute to the credit control process.
  6. Perform daily bank statement postings and reconciliations.
  7. Manage BACS runs and reconcile sales and purchase ledgers.
  8. Support the Accountant with various tasks during the month-end process.
  9. Participate in ad-hoc projects assigned by the Accountant.

Salary and Benefits

The annual salary for this position is £15,860 (£12.20 per hour), along with a range of benefits including 31 days' holiday per year, access to an employee support programme, discounted rates on vehicle parts and servicing, and more.

Requirements and Qualifications

  1. AAT qualification, full or part qualified.
  2. Previous experience in accounts or finance roles.
  3. Proficiency in Excel and other relevant software.
  4. Excellent communication skills to work effectively with non-finance teams.
