About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our Senior Leadership Team as Deputy Head of Pastoral Care. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the provision of pastoral care throughout the school, ensuring the emotional, physical, and intellectual wellbeing of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of a coherent and innovative whole-school pastoral curriculum.
  • Provide strategic leadership and guidance to the pastoral team, inspiring confidence amongst students, parents, and staff.
  • Ensure the effective management of pastoral incidents and provide support to students in need.
  • Collaborate with other senior leaders to develop and implement school policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the school's safeguarding policy and procedures.
Requirements
  • Proven experience of school leadership, with a focus on pastoral care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a focus on achieving shared goals and objectives.
  • Commitment to the school's ethos, aims, and strategic direction.
