The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Collections Specialist to join our collections department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for promoting and sustaining a constructive, supportive, and professional working relationship with all customers and colleagues. You will work closely with our merchants to validate their circumstances and resolve with a positive outcome for both YouLend and the merchant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a first-class service relating to the resolution of any non/under-paying customers
  • Case management of high value accounts in arrears across varying and unique circumstances
  • Handle inbound and outbound telephone calls, create bespoke letter and email content with high levels of care, awareness, and accuracy
  • Negotiate, implement, and execute positive solutions with the merchant's circumstances in mind, while balancing the best interests of the business
  • Work with a wide range of teams within the company to understand, strategize, and implement the most appropriate course of action for each account
  • Collaborate with Team Leaders and Collections & Recoveries Management to help review and develop the wider recovery strategies
  • Ensure compliance with all appropriate legislation and regulatory body guidelines
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience within Credit Control/Collections/Debt Recovery environment
Desirable Skills
  • Be highly reliable, organised, and adaptable
  • Have excellent attention to detail and confidence working with data
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, with strong work ethic and can-do attitude
  • Ability to manage complaint-related matters, together with fostering a positive resolve
