Job Overview

Swansea Bay University Health Board is seeking a skilled Podiatrist to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a Podiatry Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, assessing, and developing treatment plans for a wide range of Podiatry patients with both routine and complex health problems.

Main Duties
  • Autonomously assess and develop treatment plans for Podiatry patients with complex needs.
  • Effectively manage a Podiatry clinical caseload using evidence-based client-centered principles.
  • Support positive behavioral changes through activation to empower self-management.
  • Use evidence-based principles to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate podiatric interventions in hospital and community settings.
  • Single-handedly assess, diagnose, and develop care and treatment plans for low and high-risk patients in primary and community care settings.
  • Participate in research and local clinical audit to measure and monitor intervention evaluation.
Person Specification
  • Essential criteria:
    • BSc (Hons) Podiatry or equivalent.
    • HCPC registered.
    • LA Certificate.
    • Evidence of current relevant CPD.
  • Desirable criteria:
    • Supplementary or Independent Prescriber.
    • Post-Grad Qualifications.
    • Registered on Masters programme.
