Job Overview

Swansea Bay University Health Board is seeking a skilled Podiatrist to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a Patient Safety Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop treatment plans for patients with complex health problems.
  • Manage a clinical caseload of clients with complex needs, using evidence-based principles to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate podiatric interventions.
  • Support positive behavioral changes through activation to empower self-management.
  • Use evidence-based principles to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate podiatric interventions in hospital and community settings.
  • Single-handedly assess, diagnose, and develop care and treatment plans for low- and high-risk patients in primary and community care settings.
  • Participate in research and local clinical audit to measure and monitor intervention evaluation.
Requirements
  • BSc (Hons) Podiatry or equivalent qualification.
  • HCPC registration.
  • LA Certificate.
  • Evidence of current relevant CPD.
  • Post-graduate employment as a B5 or B6 Podiatrist.
Desirable Criteria
  • Supervision of junior staff.
  • Delivering training.
  • Welsh language skills.
