About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Podiatrist to join our team at Swansea Bay University Health Board. As a Specialist Podiatrist, you will play a key role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our podiatry services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans for a wide range of podiatry patients with both routine and complex health problems.
  • Effectively manage a podiatry clinical caseload of clients with complex needs, using evidence-based client-centered principles to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate podiatric interventions in community settings and other settings as required.
  • Support positive behavioral changes through activation to empower self-management.
  • Use evidence-based, client-centered principles to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate podiatric interventions in hospital and community settings.
  • Single-handedly assess, diagnose, and develop care and treatment plans for low- and high-risk patients in primary and community care settings.
  • Participate in research and local clinical audit to measure and monitor intervention evaluation.
Requirements
  • BSc (Hons) Podiatry or equivalent qualification.
  • HCPC registration.
  • LA Certificate.
  • Evidence of current relevant CPD.
  • Desirable qualifications include Supplementary or Independent Prescriber, Post-Grad Qualifications, and Registered on Masters programme.
  • Essential experience includes post-grad employment as B5 or B6 Podiatrist.
  • Desirable experience includes supervision of junior staff and delivering training.
  • Essential abilities include literacy skills.
  • Desirable abilities include Welsh language skills.
  • Ability to travel to undertake the role.
