About the Role

Austin Fraser is seeking an experienced Clinical Chemotherapy Specialist to join their dynamic and skilled community team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and passionate nurse to work in a patient-centric environment, delivering exceptional chemotherapy care.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct thorough clinical assessments of patients' needs, ensuring safe and effective treatment delivery.
  2. Provide education and support to patients and their carers on self-medication, including oral tablets and other oncology medications.
  3. Offer ongoing support through various programs, such as telephone, clinic-based, and home visits, adhering to product and client protocols.
  4. Evaluate patients' home environments to ensure they are suitable for IV oncology treatment, prioritizing safety and security.
  5. Maintain cleanliness and clarity of IV lines for all patients undergoing IV cancer treatment.
  6. Administer all IV Oncology medications accurately and efficiently.

Requirements:

  • Registration as a Nurse (RGN) with the NMC.
  • Chemotherapy delivery qualification, demonstrating your expertise in this field.
  • Experience in administering oncology medication, either in a hospital or community setting.
  • Proven skills in clinical assessments, sub-cutaneous injections, and IV device management.
  • Clinical skills required include cannulation, phlebotomy, and I.V. injection administration.

Salary: £41,120 - £45,760 per annum + Car allowance / Car (£4,000) + shift enhancements (%). Austin Fraser offers a competitive salary package, reflecting your valuable contributions to the team.
