Consultant Psychiatrist

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Community Mental Health team in West Wiltshire and Devizes. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients and contribute to the delivery of high-quality mental health services.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver direct interventions to service users, including those who require an assertive approach, and provide ongoing assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental and physical health needs.
- Provide medical input and leadership to the WWKD CMHT, with particular responsibility for patients from surgeries in Melksham and Trowbridge.
- Assess and treat outpatients in clinics, hold CPA meetings, and visit patients in their own place of residence if clinically indicated.
- Liaise with other parts of the service, GPs, and non-NHS organisations to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Fulfill the Responsible Clinician role with respect to patients subject to Community Treatment Orders.

Requirements- MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
- Relevant Higher Degree, such as MD, PhD, or MSc, or other additional clinical qualifications.
- MRCPsych or equivalent approved by the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
- Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment.
- Approved clinician status or able to achieve within 3 months of appointment.
- Approved under S12 or able to achieve within 3 months of appointment.
