About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Community Mental Health team in West Wiltshire and Devizes. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients and contribute to the delivery of high-quality mental health services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct interventions to service users, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental and physical health needs.
  • Provide medical input and leadership to the Community Mental Health Team, with a focus on patients from surgeries in Melksham and Trowbridge.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide advice and support, and attend regular team meetings.
  • Assess and treat outpatients in clinics, and hold CPA meetings as required.
  • Liaise with other services, GPs, and non-NHS organisations to ensure seamless care for patients.

Requirements

  • MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
  • Fully registered with the GMC, with a licence to practise at the time of appointment.
  • Approved clinician status, or ability to achieve within 3 months of appointment.
  • Experience of assessing and treating patients in a community setting.
