Consultant Psychiatrist

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Community Mental Health team in West Wiltshire and Devizes. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to make a meaningful contribution to the delivery of high-quality mental health services.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver direct interventions to service users, including those requiring an assertive approach, and provide ongoing assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental and physical health needs.
- Provide medical input and leadership to the WWKD CMHT, with a focus on patients from surgeries in Melksham and Trowbridge.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, provide advice, and attend regular team meetings.
- Assess and treat outpatients in clinics, hold CPA meetings, and visit patients in their own residences as clinically indicated.
- Liaise with other services, GPs, and non-NHS organizations to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Fulfill the Responsible Clinician role for patients subject to Community Treatment Orders.

Requirements- MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
- Relevant higher degree, such as MD, PhD, or MSc, or additional clinical qualifications.
- MRCPsych or equivalent approved by the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
- Fully registered with the GMC with a license to practice at the time of appointment.
- Approved clinician status or ability to achieve within 3 months of appointment.
- Approved under S12 or ability to achieve within 3 months of appointment.
