Job Description

Ackerman Pierce Ltd is seeking a skilled Community Occupational Therapist to join our team. As a Community Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing service users and carers with complex needs in relation to their home environment.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Conduct assessments of service users and carers to identify their needs and develop personalized plans to support them.
  • Provide expert advice and assessments for equipment and home modifications to improve the service users' quality of life.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to care.
  • Develop and implement adaptations, moving and handling assessments, and reduce or minimize the need for care packages.
  • Ensure awareness of safeguarding vulnerable people and maintain dignity and respect when dealing with individuals.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working as an Occupational Therapist in a community setting.
  • Manual handling experience.
  • Major adaptation experience.
  • HCPC Registration.
  • Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you).
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Occupational Therapist Qualification.
