Residential Operations Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Residential Operations Manager to join our team in Lewes. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our childrens home bungalows, ensuring that care services meet all required standards set by OFSTED.
About the Role:
- Act as the Registered Manager and Safeguarding Lead for designated bungalows, ensuring the highest standards of safety, well-being, and care for children and young people.
- Lead and manage the operational delivery team, providing clear direction, supervision, and professional development to ensure high performance and excellent care.
- Manage and optimise operational systems, resources, and colleagues to maintain compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements.
- Ensure the effective implementation of care plans and safeguarding protocols, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to support the individual needs of children and young people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement operational strategies to improve the quality of care and services provided to children and young people.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care plans and safeguarding protocols, making recommendations for improvement.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the operational delivery team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive support to children and young people, their families, and carers.
Salary and Benefits:
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of £55,000 per annum, plus benefits including a pension scheme, healthcare cash plan, cycle to work scheme, and death in service benefit.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in managing residential services, ideally within children or specialist care settings.
- A comprehensive understanding of OFSTED and standards for residential care.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, mentor, and develop a team.
- Experience in acting as a Registered Manager and/or Safeguarding Lead is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to balance operational needs and regulatory compliance.
- Relevant qualifications in health and social care (Level 5 or equivalent).
