Child Cancer Support Specialist

At Young Lives vs Cancer, we are committed to providing the best possible care and support to children and young people with cancer. As a Child Cancer Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our patients receive the highest quality of care and attention.
The salary for this position is £40,838 (FTE), which is competitive with other similar roles in the industry. The location of the job is hybrid, with both home and hospital-based work. We believe that this arrangement allows for a better work-life balance and enables our team members to be more productive.
In this role, you will be responsible for meeting with children, teenagers, and young adults, as well as their families, to assess their needs and develop support plans. You will also need to liaise with other teams and organizations to provide comprehensive care and support. This may involve working in a fast-paced environment, managing complex cases, and making difficult decisions.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young people. If you have experience working in a social care setting, particularly with children and young people, we would love to hear from you. You should also have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work effectively in a team.
