Rugby, Warwickshire, United Kingdom Alzheimer's Society Full time

**About Alzheimer's Society:** We are a leading UK charity that powers research into dementia and offers support to people affected by it. Our vision is a world where people living with dementia receive the best possible care and support.

We're currently looking for a volunteer to help us build relationships with communities in and around Rugby, particularly those from South Asian backgrounds.

**Job Description:**

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in raising awareness of dementia among local communities and identifying individuals who can share their experiences to raise awareness and promote services offered by Alzheimer's Society. The volunteer will work closely with our Community Development Coordinator to establish connections with community groups and organizations, helping us to reach more people who may be at risk of isolation.

**Requirements:**

To be successful in this role, you'll need a good understanding of your local community and the ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds. Experience of speaking a South Asian language would be beneficial, but not essential. You must be over 18 years old and able to commit to regular volunteering hours.

**What You'll Get Out of This Role:**

In return for your time and skills, you'll gain valuable experience working with a leading charity, develop your communication and networking skills, and make a real difference in the lives of people affected by dementia.

**Estimated Salary:** £12-15 per hour (dependent on location)
