About the Role

Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled Mechanical Craftsperson to join their Estates team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the hospital environment, ensuring it remains safe, operational, and supportive of patient, staff, and visitor well-being.

Main Responsibilities

The post holder will be a key member of the core maintenance team, undertaking day-to-day repairs and statutory planned preventative maintenance across the Trust site. This will include working on steam, heating, DHW, CWS, waste services, and medical gas systems, as well as ancillary equipment.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • City & Guilds or NVQ or Btech (or equivalent)
  • Mechanical installation, inspection, and testing experience
  • Ability to work on initiative with minimum supervision
  • Fault finding skills on mechanical systems and controls
  • Previous experience of working on steam and condensate systems
  • Knowledge of working on ventilation and air handling systems
