About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized TB Nurse Specialist to join our proactive and supportive team. As a TB Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with tuberculosis, including case management, conducting TB Nurse Led Clinics, and providing specialist advice to patients, carers, and health professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure safe and effective clinical practice.
  • Enhance the patient experience.
  • Contribute to the delivery of the organization's objectives.
  • Use resources efficiently and effectively.
  • Provide high-quality nursing care and participate in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care needs for patients.
  • Deliver compassionate person-centered care and treat patients, service users, their families, and carers with consideration, dignity, and respect.
  • Contribute to the implementation of high-quality patient care within the community and acute setting.
  • Support patients in successfully completing their course of TB medication.
  • Manage the risk of transmission and lead on the management of TB incidents and outbreaks.
  • Develop the service in line with local and government initiatives.
  • Supervise junior staff, teach qualified and unqualified staff, including students.
  • Contribute to service development, business planning, and the clinical governance agenda.

Person Specification

  • Registered Nurse with a minimum of 12 months' experience.
  • Critical thinking, reflection, and analysis to inform clinical assessments.
  • Flexible approach to meet the demands of the service.
