About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Recovery Worker to join our team at Turning Point. As a Recovery Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals struggling with substance abuse and mental health issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one and group support to service users, helping them to set and achieve their recovery goals.
  • Conduct regular assessments and risk management planning to ensure the safety and well-being of service users.
  • Work closely with clinical staff to provide psycho-social interventions and support service users in their recovery journey.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with service users, their families, and other stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive support network.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the development of service user plans and interventions.
Requirements
  • Experience working in a substance abuse or mental health setting, preferably in a key worker or support worker role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with service users and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meet the needs of service users.
  • Knowledge of substance abuse and mental health issues, including the challenges and opportunities for individuals on a recovery journey.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection policies.
