Commercial Analytics Lead

We are seeking a seasoned Commercial Analytics Manager to lead the formulation of a robust commercial analytical framework. This framework will enable us to understand and manage the key drivers of our Vehicle Finance product/portfolio performance. Key responsibilities include optimising new business portfolio profitability, gathering and analysing internal and external reference points/data, and establishing strong relationships across finance, credit risk, and data and analytics. The successful candidate will be a strong member of our Commercial leadership team and will deputise for the Senior Manager, Commercial Management and Pricing when required. Our ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of consumer lending, preferably in the non-prime/digital lending sector, and exceptional quantitative skills with a strong foundation in credit analytics and portfolio management. Additionally, they will have a good understanding of corporate governance frameworks and the requirements of an FCA/PRA regulated business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the formulation of a commercial analytical framework to understand and manage key drivers of Vehicle Finance product/portfolio performance
  • Optimise new business portfolio profitability to balance volume growth with unit returns
  • Gather and analyse internal and external reference points/data to identify opportunities for commercial value and continuous improvement
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships across finance, credit risk, and data and analytics
  • Support VBG core values and risk culture by championing customer outcomes
  • Deputise for the Senior Manager, Commercial Management and Pricing when required

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of consumer lending, preferably in the non-prime/digital lending sector
  • Exceptional quantitative skills with a strong foundation in credit analytics and portfolio management
  • Good understanding of corporate governance frameworks and the requirements of an FCA/PRA regulated business
