Educational Mental Health Practitioner

We are seeking an experienced Functional Skills English teacher to join our team at West London NHS Trust. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of teaching adults with challenging behaviors and delivering educational sessions in a mental health environment.
Main Responsibilities- Support patients in accessing educational opportunities to achieve competence and qualifications relevant to their abilities.
- Demonstrate a flexible and inclusive approach when offering educational support to patients with extreme mental health presentations and/or restricted circumstances.
- Be flexible with regard to the needs of patients and the organization.

Person SpecificationThe ideal candidate will have a minimum Level 3 qualification in English, a Level 5 teaching qualification in post-16 or secondary education, and a willingness to do further training if required. They will also have experience of teaching adults with challenging behaviors, planning and developing educational sessions, and delivering Functional Skills English exams and accreditation.
