We're looking for a skilled Chef to join our team and take on the challenge of creating exceptional food experiences for Chartwells. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Chef to work in a dynamic environment and develop their skills and expertise.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality food that delights our clients and customers. They will also oversee and implement menu changes, identify opportunities to improve our food services, and listen and act on customer feedback.

This is a full-time position, working 5 out of 7 days, with a competitive salary of around £37,000 per annum, plus great benefits and opportunities for learning and development.

Key Responsibilities
  1. To prepare and serve high-quality food that meets our clients' and customers' expectations.
  2. To oversee and implement menu changes to ensure consistency and quality.
  3. To identify opportunities to improve our food services and implement changes.
  4. To listen and act on customer feedback to consistently improve our food services.
  5. To support with the creation of new menus and creative food concepts.
  6. To represent Chartwells and maintain a positive brand image.
  7. To monitor inventories to keep our kitchens well-stocked.
  8. To oversee kitchen cleaning responsibilities to maintain hygiene standards.
  9. To comply with Food Handling, Hygiene, and Health and Safety regulations.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. To be passionate about great-tasting food and exceptional customer service.
  2. To hold a City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent qualification.
  3. To have experience supervising a team.
  4. To have experience in a similar Chef role.
  5. To hold a Food Hygiene certificate.
  6. To have a flexible approach to working.
