About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Specialist to join our team at Capita Health Assessment Advisory Service. As a Clinical Advisor, you will play a vital role in conducting assessments and providing expert advice to support individuals with health conditions or disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial reviews, paper-based, face-to-face, video or telephone assessments to evaluate how a claimant's health condition or disability affects their day-to-day life.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive reports of the evidence gathered for each claimant, ensuring enough detail, evidence, and justification are given to support the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) in making decisions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a high-quality service is delivered, and contribute to the development of new processes and procedures as needed.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to maintain and enhance your clinical knowledge and skills.
Requirements
  • One year's post-registration experience as a nurse, occupational therapist, physiotherapist, or paramedic.
  • Fully registered with a relevant UK regulatory body (NMC, HCPC, or other), without restriction or conditions, and with a valid PIN.
  • Excellent observational and communication skills, with the ability to listen, empathize, and dig deeper.
  • The ability to work quickly, producing reports in a timely manner and hitting targets.
  • Solid experience with using IT and Microsoft Office, as well as remotely accessing systems.
What We Offer
  • A competitive basic salary of £38,500 (pro rata for part-time) plus up to 5% training bonus, rising to £39,900 (pro rata for part-time) on achievement of remote approved status plus up to 10% bonus. On achievement of face-to-face delivery, your salary will increase to £41,500 (pro rata for part-time) plus up to 10% bonus.
  • 25 days' holiday (rising to 27 after 5 years) with the opportunity to buy extra leave (pro rata for part-time).
