Role Overview

We are seeking a highly dedicated and caring Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a well-resourced Special Needs Unit within a sixth-form college in Greenwich.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting children or adults with special educational needs and possess a positive and proactive approach. They will work closely alongside qualified teachers and professionals to provide support for students within the unit, promoting their emotional and social development.

About the Role:

  • Supporting students attending the SEND unit
  • Assisting with the general pastoral care of the students
  • Providing one-to-one support, where required
  • Assisting in planning activities
  • Supervising students outside of lesson times

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting individuals with special educational needs
  • A positive and pro-active attitude
  • A dedicated attitude with the ability to commit to a full-time position
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good written and verbal communication skills

Salary Information:
