We're a vibrant, fast-paced food manufacturer, employing around 13,600 colleagues across 16 manufacturing units and 17 distribution depots across the UK. We supply all the UK's food retailers with a wide range of products, from sandwiches and soups to cooking sauces and ready meals.
Our direct-to-store distribution network enables us to make over 10,400 daily deliveries of our own chilled and frozen produce and that of third parties.
What You'll Be DoingWe're currently looking for an Engineering Programme Manager to lead engineering projects across our Boston, Spalding, and Wisbech sites.
As the Engineering Programme Manager, you'll be responsible for managing the budget across all three sites, overseeing 40+ projects of varying sizes. Your other responsibilities will include:
- Applying governance across the cluster capital programme to ensure the capital management process is understood, deployed, and executed in line with the business's capital management policy.
- Partnering with Site General Managers and Operations Director to raise the cluster capital plan and monitor and control capital investment spending to ensure cash flow is aligned with agreed budgets.
- Overseeing the delivery of multi-site or large strategic projects to ensure the delivery of agreed return on capital investment objectives.
- Proactively managing end-to-end project or change implementation within well-defined timelines and budgets, covering all facets of implementation, ensuring project objectives are achieved.
We're looking for someone with previous experience of performing highly complex work activities covering engineering, technical, financial, health, safety, and quality aspects. You'll also need an understanding of relevant technologies and practices in an FMCG environment, as well as demonstrable experience of working with a robust project and programme methodology/best practice.
Experience with a recognised project delivery method such as PMI/PRINCE2 is also essential.
