Job Description

We're seeking an experienced Engineering Programme Manager to lead engineering projects across our Boston, Spalding, and Wisbech sites. As the successful candidate, you'll be responsible for managing a team of two Engineering Project Managers, overseeing 40+ projects, and ensuring the delivery of agreed return on capital investment objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply governance across the cluster capital programme, ensuring the Capital management process is understood, deployed, and executed in line with the business's Capital management policy.
  • Partner with Site General Managers and Operations Directors to raise the cluster capital plan and monitor and control capital investment spending to ensure cash flow is aligned with agreed budgets.
  • Oversee the delivery of multi-site or large strategic projects to ensure the delivery of agreed return on capital investment objectives.
  • Proactively manage end-to-end project or change implementation within well-defined timelines and budgets, covering all facets of implementation, ensuring that project objectives are achieved.
Requirements
  • Confident management of a team and experience of overseeing multiple sites.
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on capacity.
  • Previous evidence of performing highly complex work activities covering engineering, technical, financial, health, safety, and quality aspects.
  • Understanding of relevant technologies and practices in an FMCG environment.
  • Demonstrable experience of working with a robust project and programme methodology/best practice.
  • Experience with a recognised project delivery method such as PMI/PRINCE2.
