About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cleaning Operative to join our team at Gatwick Immigration Removal Centre. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the centre.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate cleaning equipment, including vacuums, buffers, and wet vac machines, to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Comply with health and safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Carry out additional duties as directed by the Facilities Manager or Senior Engineer, including maintaining cleaning stock and cleaning all assigned areas.
  • Work collaboratively with the facilities team to achieve our cleaning and maintenance objectives.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in a cleaning or maintenance role.
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment and communicate effectively with colleagues.
  • Flexibility and a proactive approach to work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
