Cleaning Operative

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cleaning Operative to join our team at Gatwick Immigration Removal Centre. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the centre.
Key Responsibilities- Operate cleaning equipment, including vacuums, buffers, and wet vac machines, to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Comply with health and safety cleaning procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Carry out additional duties as directed by the Facilities Manager or Senior Engineer, including maintaining cleaning stock and updating schedules.
- Clean all assigned areas to the highest standard, adhering to cleaning schedules and protocols.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Previous experience in a cleaning or maintenance role.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment and communicate effectively at all levels.
- Flexibility and proactive approach to work, with the ability to self-motivate and prioritize workload.
