Site Defects Manager

**Job Title:** Site Defects Manager
We are seeking a skilled **Defect Works Coordinator** to oversee all defect works on projects within education, commercial and healthcare sectors in Essex and London.
The ideal candidate will work closely with the operational & aftercare team to close out all defects works, ensuring timely completion and securing retention money due.
Key responsibilities include:
- Visiting sites to identify defects and resources required for each project
- Maintaining regular contact with subcontractors to ensure adherence to the set programme
- Regularly reviewing timings, labour, materials, plant, and project plans to stay on track
- Delivering toolbox talks to promote best practices
- Leading health and safety initiatives
- Collaborating with project teams
- Managing quality assurance and logistics
A successful candidate will have:
- SSSTS/SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid qualifications
The salary for this position is estimated at £50,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a competitive package and look for someone to start in early 2025.
