Key Responsibilities:

  • Profitability analysis: Conduct regular profitability analysis to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
  • Cost allocation: Collaborate with finance business teams to ensure accurate cost allocation to the division.
  • Appraisal of new brands: Assess the profitability of potential new brands, ensuring they meet financial expectations and contribute positively to the business.
  • Annual reporting: Prepare detailed analysis of sales and profit for annual reporting to external audiences.
  • Licensed product profitability: Assess the profitability of licensed products, managing stock levels, margins, and costs to achieve optimal profitability.
  • Team development: Develop and manage two direct reports, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional growth and the success of the team.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years experience in a finance or analytical role.
  • CIMA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified.
  • Experience in financial modeling is preferred.
  • Strong Excel skills, including PowerPivot and Power Query.
  • Good data handling skills, comfortable with large data sets and SQL/Power BI.
  • Able to prepare schedules for review with senior leadership teams.
  • Self-starter with high attention to detail.
  • Flexible approach to the role, willing to carry out a wide variety of tasks.
