About the Role:

At Sugarman Health & Wellbeing, we are seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality support to a female individual with autism, who requires assistance with daily living tasks, promoting independence and supporting her to health appointments.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be patient and understanding, and have a passion for working with individuals with autism. Knowledge of Makaton and positive behaviour support is an advantage, but all training will be provided.

We offer a competitive hourly rate, enhanced on Bank Holidays, and a supportive work environment. If you are a caring and enthusiastic individual who wants to make a difference, please consider applying for this rewarding role.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide support to the individual with daily living tasks, including maintaining her home and promoting independence.
- Assist the individual to health appointments and provide emotional support as needed.
- Develop and implement individualised support plans to meet the individual's needs and goals.

Requirements:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Patience and understanding when working with individuals with autism.
