About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic individual to join our team at Northamptonshire Healthcare Foundation Trust as a Domestic Support Worker. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in our patient, public, and staff areas.

Main Responsibilities

  • Providing a high-quality domestic service that supports patient care and adheres to legislative and policy requirements.
  • Following cleaning specifications and using appropriate equipment and materials to maintain a safe and pleasant environment.
  • Working closely with other staff to ensure a seamless service and a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Removing waste and clinical waste bags, ensuring correct procedures are followed.
  • Using chemicals and cleaning agents in accordance with manufacturer's instructions and adhering to COSHH regulations.
  • Undertaking deep cleans, clinical cleans, admission, and infection control procedures as required.
  • Observing the colour-coded cleaning system used within the wards, health centres, and departments.
  • Wearing protective clothing and uniform supplied by the Trust, maintaining a neat and tidy appearance, and high standards of personal hygiene.
