Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Design Coordinator to join our team at Anglo Technical Recruitment Ltd. The successful candidate will have a strong background in water and wastewater infrastructure, with excellent knowledge of BIM and common data environments.

The Design Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating design aspects throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with project requirements, standards, and specifications. They will work closely with the Design Manager to discharge Principal Designer duties and promote safety, buildability, environmental best practice, and sustainability through design.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate design in line with budget and programme.
  2. Adhere to CDM regulations, including supporting the Design Manager to discharge Principal Designer duties.
  3. Promote safety, buildability, environmental best practice, and sustainability through design.
  4. Help produce design plans and briefs.
  5. Coordinate external design consultants.
  6. Collaborate with other internal disciplines, technical stakeholders, and design coordinators.
  7. Coordinate between construction and design teams to ensure site investigations and surveys meet project requirements.
  8. Provide input to construction planning activities, such as consents and stakeholder management.
  9. Awareness of commercial arrangements within area of responsibility.
  10. Identify, record, and manage design change, risk, and opportunity.
  11. Ensure quality in design to be 'right first time'.

Requirements:

  • Considerable experience in water and wastewater infrastructure.
  • Awareness of BIM and common data environments.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Time management and project design management skills.

Estimated Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
