Job Title: Student Recruitment and Event Officer

The University of Kent's Medical School is seeking a skilled professional to support the delivery of internal and external events, promoting student recruitment from across the UK and internationally. The successful candidate will develop, coordinate, and evaluate targeted recruitment activities to achieve the school's marketing and recruitment strategy.

The role involves attending and delivering a range of recruitment activities in the UK, mainly in the South East. This includes coordinating school visits, creating engaging content, and organizing high-profile events such as Open Days and Mini Interviews.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Work with teachers in schools and colleges to organize school visits and promote medicine as a career option.
  • Create and deliver a regular program of content and presentations to prospective students and influencers.
  • Organize and deliver university-specific events, including Open Days and virtual sessions.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of Higher Education recruitment, particularly medical school recruitment, and the student experience.
  • Deliver effective presentations and participate in HE Fair activities.
  • Utilize excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, maintaining a helpful and responsive manner under pressure.
  • Enjoy flexible hybrid working options, combining office and home working.

Requirements:

  • A degree in a relevant subject or significant experience in a related field.
  • An understanding of Higher Education recruitment and the student experience.
  • A track record of delivering effective presentations and participating in HE Fair activities.
