Job Title: Sector Category Lead
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Sector Category Lead to join our team at QinetiQ. As a key member of our Supply Chain function, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of category management strategies across the Threat Representation business unit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute category management strategies to drive cost savings, improve supply chain resilience, and enhance product/service offerings.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to stakeholders on supply chain, procurement, and category strategies, including make vs. buy, cost optimization, and supply chain risk management.
- Lead the integration and transformation of processes, systems, and culture across the Threat Representation business unit and its supply chain.
- Collaborate with other Supply Chain functions, including Inventory and Logistics, New Business Supply Chain, and other Category Managers, to deliver the Australia Sector supply chain roadmap.
- Develop and implement standardized Supply Chain & Procurement procedures across the Australia Sector.
Requirements:
- 5-10+ years of relevant experience in senior Procurement, Category management, Supply Chain roles, ideally playing a critical role in supply chain transformations.
- Experience in implementing Category Management frameworks and transformation programs is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to engage and influence internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in working in fast-paced ISO, manufacturing, or engineering environments.
- Experience in the Import/Export of regulated products.
- Military or related industry experience preferred but not necessary.
