Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Dermatologist to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dermatological care to our patients, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent patient outcomes.

About the Role

The post holder will be responsible for undertaking general dermatology and urgent skin cancer clinics, a skin surgery list, and teledermatology sessions. They will also work on a rota with consultant/specialty doctor colleagues to provide inpatient dermatology consults, mostly via teledermatology with some ward visits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a first-class clinical service to patients
  • Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Undertake all work in accordance with the Trust's procedures and operating policies
  • Conduct clinical practice in accordance with contractual requirements and within the parameters of the Trust's service plans
  • Maintain the confidence of business plans and development strategies formulated for the specialty, the Care Group, or the Trust

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have a wide experience in all aspects of dermatology, culminating in the award of a Certificate of Completion of Training by the GMC, or the award of a Certificate of Eligibility for Specialty Registration (CESR) by the GMC. They will also have experience in day-to-day organisation of dermatology services in a busy teaching hospital, and familiarity with information technology and general computer skills.
