Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality services to families experiencing post-separation conflict, helping them reach agreement on parenting arrangements and resolve issues related to finances and property settlement.
Key Responsibilities- Provide risk screening and assessment, preparation for family dispute resolution, and mediating joint sessions using specialized approaches.
- Offer information and referrals to clients about separation, counselling, and legal processes.
- Work in accordance with the Family Law Act and Regulations.
- Registration with the Australian Government Attorney General's Department Register of Family Dispute Resolution Practitioners is essential.
- A tertiary background in Law, Social Sciences, Social work, or Mediation/Dispute Resolution.
- Demonstrated high-level skills in family dispute resolution, including assessments and mediation interventions.
- Ability to work in a child-focused approach.
- Strong understanding of relationship dynamics, domestic and family violence, child safety, trauma-informed practice, diversity awareness, and mental health and wellbeing.
