About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Vistry Group PLC. As a key member of our Commercial department, you will be responsible for assisting the Surveying team with cost management for development and contracting projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the compilation of tender packages for sub-contract trades.
- Receive and analyze tenders, comparing levels and making recommendations.
- Issue sub-contract orders in accordance with Group Policy and Commercial Best Practice.
- Liaise with the Build Department on sub-contractors' performance and compliance with order conditions.
- Assist with the production of sub-contract orders to meet site programmed build requirements.
- Provide forecast and site budget information to meet business reporting requirements.
- Control and report post-contract cost movements.
- Process invoices and applications for payments in accordance with Standard Terms and Conditions of Contract.
- Advise management of impending claims or legal action.
- Assist in determining sub-contract orders and liaise with the Build Department.
- Use the BMS and processes to manage site project administration.
- Assist in reviewing materials on-site and material valuations.
- Settle variation invoices and applications for payment.
- Assist with certifying retention releases on project completion.
- Prepare and agree sub-contract final accounts.
- Maintain necessary systems for efficient filing and retrieval of information.
- Assist with maintaining final account schedules.
