Work as a key member of the SCS Railways team on the HS2 project, a high-speed rail network in the UK. As an Occupational Health Advisor, you will support the Health & Safety Manager in managing health and safety for SCS activities.

About the Role

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in establishing and maintaining industry-leading health and safety standards for the project. This includes implementing the Health and Safety Management System (HSMS) to ensure compliance with OHSAS 18001:2007 certification and Works Information.

You will provide operational and functional management advice on the practical implementation of the company's H&S policies and processes, including external stakeholders such as customers if necessary.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Understanding SCS Health & Safety Policies and Processes and statutory requirements.
  • Providing advice on the implementation of H&S policies and processes.
  • Assisting the H&S Manager and Contract Management in understanding stakeholder aims, priorities, and risks related to H&S.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of three years' experience in a relevant field of Construction/Infrastructure Health & Safety.
  • A NEBOSH Construction Certificate.

Preferred qualifications include five years' experience in a relevant field and a Safety, Health, and Environmental Diploma or Degree.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is £55,000-£65,000 per annum, depending on experience. The role also offers a range of benefits, including flexible working arrangements and opportunities for professional development.
