Job Description

Academics Ltd is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Teaching Assistant to support students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mental health principles and be able to provide a safe and supportive environment for young people.

The role involves working closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized plans to meet the needs of students.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing emotional support and guidance to students
  • Assisting with lesson planning and delivery
  • Monitoring student progress and reporting to teachers
  • Collaborating with other support staff to develop and implement strategies to support students

Requirements:

  • Graduate degree in a relevant field
  • Experience working with young people with SEMH needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
