Reliability Maintenance Engineering Area Manager

About the Role:
Amazon Operations is seeking a highly skilled Reliability Maintenance Engineering Area Manager to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineering technicians, ensuring they work in a safe, standard, and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the team, focusing on safety, standardization, and efficiency.
- Collaborate with the team and wider network to leverage technical expertise and build solutions.
- Support the Reliability Engineering Manager in implementing safety and statutory compliance programs.
- Implement network standards and focus on preventative maintenance to ensure high equipment availability.
- Organize and direct the training program for the team, ensuring sufficient technical coverage.
- Participate in local and EU-level projects as assigned by the manager.
- Be prepared to work on shift to maintain a strong connection with the team and daily work.
Requirements:
- UK Higher National Diploma (HND), Higher National Certificate (HNC), BTEC National Diploma (OND), IEng, CEng, or ILM L4+.
- Relevant experience in maintenance teams, industrial or production environments, and complex business processes.
- Experience in managing people in engineering teams and liaising with stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English and upper intermediate proficiency in local language.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree.
- Experience with statutory regulations, compliance checks, and machine safety protocols.
- Experience in automated equipment, including packaging machinery, sortation, and conveyor systems.
- Experience with data analysis tools, PLC-based control systems, and project management.
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
