As a Reliability Maintenance Engineering Area Manager, you will lead a team of engineering technicians, focusing on safety by training, developing, and coaching them. You will deliver a high level of equipment availability by ensuring all preventative maintenance is conducted and internal processes and procedures are followed.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead, support, and mentor the team, ensuring they work in a safe, standard, and efficient manner.
  2. Work with the team and the wider network to harness technical expertise and build solutions.
  3. Support the Reliability Engineering Manager in implementing, recording, and auditing safety and statutory compliance programs to provide a safe working environment for all staff.
  4. Implement network standards and focus on preventative maintenance to provide a high level of equipment availability to internal customers.
  5. Ensure sufficient technical coverage is available for the shifts you own by organizing and directing the training program for the team.
  6. Organize local projects or support EU-level projects as assigned by the manager.
  7. Be prepared to work on shift to maintain a strong connection to the team and daily work.
  8. Demonstrate achievement of goals and objectives set within the RME team.

Basic Qualifications

  • A UK Higher National Diploma (HND), Higher National Certificate (HNC), BTEC National Diploma (OND), IEng, CEng, or ILM L4+
  • Relevant experience as part of a maintenance team in an industrial or production environment handling complex business processes.
  • Relevant experience in managing people in an engineering team.
  • Relevant experience in liaising and managing relationships between various stakeholders, including third-party vendors.
  • Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English and upper intermediate proficiency in local language.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A degree.
  • Experience working with statutory regulations, such as compliance checks and machine safety protocols.
  • Experience in automated equipment, including packaging machinery, sortation, and conveyor systems.
  • Experience using data analysis tools and PLC-based control systems.
  • Experience with project management or Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma processes.
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
