SEN Teaching Assistant Role for Psychology Graduates

Ribbons & Reeves is excited to offer a challenging and rewarding SEN Teaching Assistant role for Psychology Graduates who are eager to pursue a career in Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Mental Health.

This SEN Teaching Assistant position is based at a mainstream school with a high percentage of students with SEN and SEMH needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic record, a passion for education, and a commitment to supporting children with diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing 1:1 support to pupils with SEN and Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs
  • Supporting children aged between 11-16
  • Working collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized support plans
  • Assisting with lesson planning and delivery to ensure inclusive and engaging learning experiences

Requirements:

  • Psychology Graduate with a minimum 2:1 degree classification
  • Strong academic record at GCSE and A-Level
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
