We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at an amazing school in Surbiton. The ideal candidate will have a passion for making a positive impact on the development of young people with special educational needs.
About the Role:The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering a nurturing environment to ensure effective social, emotional, and educational development of students with SEND. They will collaborate with classroom teachers and SENCOs to devise and deliver person-centered learning and care plans.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor and record progress of students and report to the school's SEN team and to meet targets.
- Build strong relationships with students and provide individualized support to meet their needs.
- Work efficiently in a team and have a resilient mindset to face and overcome challenges.
- Have compassion and patience when working with children with SEND.
- Have confidence to take initiative and be proactive in supporting students.
- Previous experience in dealing with young people with different SEND is preferable.
- Available to start ASAP.
- Have a qualification in Team Teach (ideal but not essential).
